hot jeans for women
Diesel, AG, Armani, D&G, Versace, Paige, Paper Denim… the list of high-end designer jeans grows longer by the minute. This is mostly attributable to what many analysts say is ‘compensation’ for decades of denim that lacked youthful style and intrigue. “Jeans haven’t been this hip since bell bottoms were big in the seventies,” noted Andrea Fernandez, a trend analyst whose firm, Jet, is based in New York City, “and that’s mostly due to the fact that high-end designers, realizing there was serious money to be made dealing denim, entered the market in a big way with stylish designs.” So-called boot-cut and low rise jeans are here to stay, she predicts, because they are flattering cuts that make men look taller and women look fitter than they really are. “If you could wear something that would not only make you look better, but give you the confidence that comes with knowing you look better, why wouldn’t you?” She added. So is the recession reason for fashion designers to fear for their bottom lines? “Jeans and denim in general may be an exception to the glut in consumer spending. They are in many ways a cheaper substitute for other clothing, and will remain hot so long as celebrities want their asses to look good on camera. That said, expect affordability to increase as competition stiffens during a time of decreasing costs for the manufacturers, and some good imitators to give the real macoy a real run for their money on Ebay and elsewhere.”
